Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) workshop

On the November 19, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) workshop was held during the EIC Clean and Efficient Cooling Portfolio meeting, led by Harris Mubeen, Sustainability Manager at kiutra. The workshop introduced participants to the fundamental principles and methodology of LCA, providing a structured foundation for integrating environmental assessment into product development.

The session included a hands-on exercise, during which portfolio companies developed functional units tailored to their respective cooling products and technologies, enabling a practical start to their LCA journey.

To further support implementation, an LCA Guide developed by kiutra was distributed to participating companies, offering clear guidance for conducting consistent and meaningful assessments. The workshop fostered a collaborative environment to explore environmental impacts, exchange best practices, and identify opportunities for more eco-efficient and sustainable cooling solutions across the portfolio.
