Advancing the MAGCCINE project: morphological and chemical characterization of magnetocaloric samples

March 2025
Our team is continuously working towards revolutionizing vaccine refrigeration with the development of a solid-state magnetic refrigerator. A key step in this journey is the morphological and chemical characterization of magnetocaloric samples, which we are conducting using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS).
These advanced techniques allow us to analyze the microstructure and elemental composition of the materials, providing crucial insights into their performance and efficiency. By fine-tuning the structural properties, we aim to enhance the Rotating Magnetocaloric Effect (RMCE) and bring us closer to a clean, efficient solution for the vaccine cold chain.
