SMACool: Revolutionizing Resindential Cooling

We are pleased to introduce the new SMACool project, which deals with clean and efficient cooling. Our main goal is to revolutionize cooling in residential buildings. To achieve this, we are developing an innovative air conditioning unit based on the promising technology of elastocalorics. This uses shape memory alloys as a solid-state refrigerant for efficient and sustainable cooling.
